When it comes to style, I have always been trapped between two extremes. On the one hand, I love modern textures and cuts. On the other hand, I am a big fan of vintage clothing and chunky jewelry. Fortunately, I have found ways to bring these two categories of clothing together.

If there is one thing that our modern, always-on society does well it is to promote comparisons. We are told that we are not as smart at this person… or as pretty as that one.

Even our Facebook feeds are filled with only the best moments of our friends’ lives, making our lives feel boring by comparison. Is it any surprise that we spend so much time trying to be someone else?

We all want to help the elderly people in our lives to age in place. We want them to be able to enjoy their final years, in comfort, surrounded by the people, places and precious objects that they love.

I don’t know about you, but, the older I get, the more I appreciate the home that I have built for myself.

My apartment is nothing special. Actually, it’s quite small, all things considered. At the same time, I have filled it with the things that I love – pictures, flowers, sparkly lamps and more!
